Summer Inactivity

I haven't done much in about two weeks, which is basically all I hoped to get out of my vacation. Moe and I went down to my parents' summer house for a week. It rained the whole time we were there, but it didn't matter that much, since we both needed to do nothing. And rainy days are good for nothing. Whenever I did show weak signs of activity, I either trained for the Berlin Marathon or knitted. I managed to complete two half marathons last week. The Berlin Marathon is only 6 and a half weeks away, but I think I'll be alright. I need to lose a massive amount of weight, but I'm working on that too. It's a good thing you can always knit whenever you feel the need to use your hands and stuff your face :) I haven't begun to feel sorry for myself (due to lots of training and no sweets), but I know I will - knitting will be my rescuer.

Per default you don't want to run out of yarn - we all know that. And just to prevent that from happening I bought some Lucca Fine Merino; the softes ever! I'm not sure what to knit with it - perhaps some very nice baby clothes of some sort. Oh, and please note that the green hank is far from light minty green in real life; actually it's vibrant green, very apple green. Anyway, if you know just the right pattern for this wonderful yarn, please let me know.

I also bought books. More books. And I really shouldn't. Somebody failed to slap me in the face when I hit the 'order' button. Oh well, I'll just have to make the best of it then.
And that won't be too hard. Both books, i.e. "Strikk til nøstebarn" and "Embroidery for little miss crafty" are excellent! I might even be able to use some of the above-mentioned Lucca Fino with one of the patterns in "Strikk til nøstebarn" - yay!

Obviously, I'm now on a book and yarn diet.... together with the regular food diet. It's not fair *buhuuu*.

Have a look at our rose; it's free of charge and you don't gain weight. Enjoy :)

I know I began this post with telling you that I have been knitting while on holiday. It really did happen. I just can't show you any pictures yet, since one thing is a secret a little while longer, another isn't quite done and the third is nowhere done. Instead you may have a peek at the alpaca baby thingy I'm working on right now.

Soooooooooo soft!

I hope you've enjoyed whatever time you had off during the summer. I know I did.
